Look around. This story is about you.

I know what you’re thinking and you are correct. All of the stories are about you. It is unavoidable the danger we place ourselves in by being this way.

Please read on.

The fire burned hot and nearly burned your face. You stood so close. But it didn’t burn your face. You knew something no one else on the beach knew and it was about to surprise us all.

There was a pattern in the flicker. You noticed it when you first lit the bonfire. As the other partygoers arrived, they couldn’t help but wonder how the strange person could stand so close to the enormous fire without being burned. As the hours passed, you became lore for your unwavering stance. You stared hard into the fire. The tension rose around the flame as the crowd felt your intensity rising. In a single move, you sprung from your spot in the sand and leapt through the fire.

How did you do it?
