A cynical man once said: If you look at me like that again, I will destroy you. The mirror responded by saying nothing.

It was nothing personal. And it certainly wasn’t doing anything he wouldn’t have done. Still, Chester Boogins couldn’t let this slide. There was one person remaining who knew what he had done and that dude was staring at him now.

A debate ensued with Chester quickly turning his attention to social status. He tried to convince the dude that if his parents had been wealthy enough there is no way he’d have done what he did. Everyone else was laughing and playing. Why couldn’t Chester take part?

Because he didn’t have a dollar?

That seems pretty silly, so he did it. Others were hurling softballs in its direction, but not one of them could hit it. So, plotting his sprint perfectly, Chester lined up and waited for the next ball to miss. When the ball flew wide right, Chester sprang from his spot and punched the target on the dunk tank so hard that the P.E. teacher levitated for ten seconds before gravity took over and he splashed into the tank.

The world was muted as Chester ran fearfully into the nearest bathroom. He splashed some water on his face. Chester looked up to catch his twisted gaze in the mirror. He couldn’t fool this audience. Chester removed a twenty-dollar-bill from his pocket. He looked at the bill trying to convince himself he didn’t know it was in his pocket the entire time.
