A cynical man once said: It is as necessary for stormy days to exist as it is for them to pass.

The great Gretta, mother of squirrels and longtime heir to the forest throne, wanted nothing more than to serve her woodland friends. After many years of wishing, Gretta finally became Queen.

Gretta set her heart wholly on creating the best forest surroundings of all time. After her beautiful coronation, she asked all the inhabitants of the forest what they desired most. All who had gathered began vocalizing all their hopes and desires at the queen. Little by little, the quiet voices got louder and louder, eventually becoming shouting. As the screaming persisted, the queen calmly lifted a pencil to write.

This went on for the next 30 days and 30 nights until the last suggestion had been shouted at the queen. All of the forest creatures stared up at their queen in anticipation. Calmly, the queen packed away her notebook and pencil. “Thank you all for the wonderful ideas,” the queen said. “I’ll be going now to take a nap.”
