An odd man once said: Your nonjudgmental eyes will serve you well if you ever discover this particular quality within yourself.

Jeb wasn’t invited to the party. The only reason he showed up was to stamp his hooves into the newly laid cement patio.

The other partygoers adhered to the dirty orange cones and keep out signs, but Jeb stepped onto the half-dried patio without a single thought as to if it were the right thing to do.

Jeb always had a burning desire to leave his mark.

Now, on his way out, Jeb couldn’t help but notice that the DJ had played the same track three times in a row. Jeb would have been gone by now, but the dance floor was too crowded for him to cross it cleanly.

The disco lights and lasers crossed Jeb’s vision as he looked up at the DJ booth. There was no one there, only a large stuffed animal propped against the turntables. Jeb became angry that the DJ was slacking off and abandoned his post.

Jeb charged through the crowd and up to the DJ booth. When he arrived, he looked out the window to see the DJ standing out back on the wet patio.
